Maintenance Engineer



James George Recruitment has partnered with a globally operating company in Lincolnshire.

In response to the company’s continued growth, we are seeking a confident maintenance engineer for fault finding and rectification on-site their 24/7 operating production space. 

What will you be doing?

Duties and responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Conducting planned and proactive preventative maintenance and machine setup
  • Providing reactive maintenance in response to mechanical breakdowns
  • Working closely with the production team in advance to minimise machinery downtime and pre-empt possible issues or causes of concern
  • Promptly action repairs and report accordingly to prevent repeat occurrences
  • Investigate and establish causes of all breakdowns and damages
  • Conduct site maintenance tasks to maintain site equipment, buildings, and facilities
  • Complete relevant paperwork to close out PPMs and maintenance requests
  • Complete all required documentation accurately and audit-ready
  • General housekeeping duties
  • Promoting critical health and safety on-site

Are You the Person for the Job?

If you’ve got maintenance engineering experience, we want to hear from you. Electrical would be advantageous although not essential (multi-skilled engineer); however we essentially need mechanical expertise.

It’s crucial that you have an analytical mindset, and exceptional problem-solving abilities.

You’ll also need:

  • To work on your own initiative – a self-starter
  • To work well under expected levels of pressure
  • Excellent planning abilities
  • The ability to lead and guide others – a team player
  • A proactive approach to maintenance
